Kentfield School District750 College Avenue, Kentfield, CA 94904 The Kentfield Elementary School District is located in Kentfield, California and is comprised of two different sites: Bacich Elementary School, K-4, with an enrollment of 631 students, and Kent Middle School, 5-8, with an enrollment of 501 students. The total District enrollment is 1132. The Kentfield Elementary School District is regarded highly by its parents, students and greater school community. The District is known for having a strong academic program and a rich visual and performing arts, physical education, Spanish language, computer program and Character Education. Student achievement as measured by the 2005 STAR assessment places the District in the top 10% in Reading, Math, Language Arts and Spelling. The District has a scope and sequence in all content areas which are aligned with state and national standards. The average student:teacher ratio in grades K-3 is under 20:1, and 23:1 at grades 4-8. All teachers in the District are teaching in areas for which they are qualified and for which they hold valid teaching credentials. All District staff members are credentialed by the State of California and are working within their subject area of competence. The District enjoys the generous support of its active PTA, School Site Council, and the Kentfield Schools Foundation, a non-profit organization which currently has a $1,000,000 annual goal. In addition, the District has been very successful over the past two decades in passing a parcel tax and bonds.
