Policy Book of the Kentfield School District

Each year the Board of Trustees revises current policy or develops new policy in response to new legislation, directives from the State Department of Education or suggestions by parents or staff, and publishes the complete set of policies in a Policy Book. The Policy Book includes all policies required by law and optional policies developed and adopted by the Kentfield School District.

The Policy Book is organized for reference into the following sections:

• Students
• Curriculum
• Personnel
• Operations and Administration

Each policy statement contains the full intent and essence of the Board's position; however, in pursuing a specific area, community or staff members may need to refer to detailed procedures, Education Code references, forms, or other documents which can be made available through the District Office.

The Policy Book is distributed to all staff members. The current version of the Policy Book is available in PDF format on this page for all parents/guardians of Kentfield students (click the link below). The Board intends that the Policy Book serve as notification and disclosure of certain rights and privileges as required by law.
