KSD Fall 2020 Reopening Survey

In preparation for our Distance Learning program, we are requesting additional feedback from our student families. This survey is for a single KSD student, if you have additional students in Kentfield schools, please follow the link at the end of the survey to start again for the next student. Reopening Information

School Lunch Program

We are excited to bring a new food vendor to Kentfield. School Foodies will be providing school lunch packs for our distance learning program this year. Distance Learning Meal Variety Packs that feature delicious, fully prepared, high-quality lunches that can be taken home and enjoyed. The packs will include five meals and can be picked up from Kent Middle School on Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) anytime between 11 a.m.-1 p.m. More information to come.

Free and Reduced Lunch Applications Available

Families need to re-apply for free and reduced-price lunches annually, even if you

have been approved in the past. This year we will provide five school lunches in a box per week. You will pick up the box at Kent Middle School on Monday (or Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) between the hours of 11:00AM and 1:00 PM.

KSPTA School Supplies Fundraiser

The District and KSPTA are continuing to work together to coordinate student school supplies. This past week the orders arrived and we are determining the best method to distribute these materials to students.

Technology Materials

All 3rd-8th grade students will be equipped with a district-owned Chromebook to use for Distance Learning, In-Person Learning, or a combination thereof. We will be asking our Kindergarten through 2nd grade students if they need devices at home to support their Distance Learning, and if so the district will equip them with an iPad. Distribution information will be provided soon.

Childcare Option

Marin Enrichment (ME) will be offering on-site childcare at Bacich School for KSD students and staff. New families can access the application here, returning ME families can access the application here. We are thankful to have such a strong partnership with Marin Enrichment as they will be setting up a system to support students with accessing their Distance Learning and devise small groups of students that can work together, while maintaining safety protocols and procedures outlined by public health.

Kentfield School District Board Policy 4336

Board Policy 4336: Nonschool Employment outlines the expectations of all district employees to give the responsibility of their positions precedence over any other outside employment. In this time of distance learning, please recognize that school employees shall not work in outside employment during their work day, and please refer to the provisions of KSD Board Policy related to staff providing tutoring for a KSD student.
