Bacich Bears News

Mary Ann Spitzer

Dear Bacich Community,

There is excitement in the air this week as Wednesday is the KSPTA Read-a-thon! Students can’t wait to wear their pajamas and bring their stuffies to school while they read, are read to, or are enjoying author presentations. I even heard that Bacich Bear may make an appearance during arrival time!

Conflict Resolution

Ms. A has been working hard with our Bacich Peacemaker Team to provide extra support during recess. These fourth graders are guiding students through the Peace Path as well as giving out Bacich Bear Cards for responsible behavior. Last week, she shared this fun video to help students identify ways they can deal with conflict or frustration. I encourage you to speak with your child about the positive choices Kelso the frog makes in difficult situations!

Principal Chat

Last Friday, we held a Principal Chat highlighting the Bacich Enrichment programs. If you missed it, you may review the slide deck with embedded videos here. Also, the recorded Principal Chat can be found here. A big thank you to all of the enrichment teachers for their contributions to this presentation and to KIK and the KSPTA for their support that makes these great programs possible.

Open House is Next Week!

We are excited to welcome you, in person, to Bacich’s Open House on Thursday, March 31 from 6 to 7 p.m. It is such an honor to host our entire school community on this special night to meet teachers and to learn more about our unique educational programs. Our students will share their classrooms and learning activities to provide parents/guardians a greater understanding of their children's learning space. Bacich School is a special place where the learning magic is alive everyday. We are thrilled to be able to share it with each of you. Please see this Parent Square post for more details.

Report Cards

Report cards were supposed to be available in Aeries today, but unfortunately Aeries is not cooperating! Aeries is having a web server issue so we have not been able to generate report cards yet. We are still working on it at this time however, but the report cards may not be posted until later this evening or possibly even tomorrow.

Have a great week!

The yearbook will be back this year with class photos and pictures of all students, not to mention spreads of special events on campus throughout the year! The sales of the book support KSPTA programming in the KSD. Yearbooks will be delivered to students in their classrooms at the end of the school year.

If purchasing a yearbook is a financial burden for your family, please reach out to either Amber Hatfield (ahatfield@kentfieldschools.org) or Ivette Villarreal (ivillarreal@kentfieldschools.org), and the KSPTA will make sure your child has a book.
