Bacich Bears News

Dear Bacich Community,

What a fun time we had last week! The Readathon was a huge success. Students were entertained by special guest readers as well as author presentations. They read to their buddies and their stuffies, and traipsed around in their pajamas during their enrichment activities having a wonderful time! What a great gift from the KSPTA by prioritizing reading while raising funds for the Kentfield School District.

A Bacich favorite, the gymnastics unit, is in full swing. Students safely flip, bounce, skip and jump on the equipment and mats in the Community Center during physical education classes.

Open House is finally here! Please join us with your child this Thursday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. on the Bacich campus. This is an opportunity for your child to show off their classroom activities, the spaces where they do their learning and their enrichment programs. We are expecting a large turnout, so masks will be required when entering indoor spaces. We look forward to seeing you!

After Spring Break, we are so happy to be welcoming parents on campus again for arrival and dismissal. Parents of all grade levels are welcome to drop off and pick up their children at their classroom doors. Please review the important safety protocols to be followed below:

  • Parents may enter campus beginning at 8 a.m. to drop off their child/ren.
  • Parents must please exit campus by 8:15 a.m., when the school day begins.
  • After school, Kinder parents may enter campus at 2 p.m. Kinder students and parents are welcome to stay on the kindergarten playground, only, after school until the rest of the grades are released.
  • Parents of 1st – 4th graders may enter campus at 2:53 p.m. to meet their child/ren.
  • After 2:53 p.m., Bacich is an open campus.
  • Parents should stay outside of classrooms unless they have an appointment with the teacher.

Thank you!

Don’t forget Spring Break is just around the corner! There are no classes April 4-8.

Have a great week!
