Dear Kentfield School Community,

Today marked a milestone for the Kentfield School District, as together we safely launched Hybrid instruction for our Bacich Bears and Kent Falcons. The morning started with daily health checks, following yellow arrows to classrooms, standing on dots for physical distancing and then the magic unfolded in classrooms. Students engaged with their peers in-person, dialogued with their teachers during instruction and participated in learning activities in classrooms and from a distance. It was a great day for our community.

In alignment with Public Health guidance and in an effort to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19 in our schools the KSD has made the decision to provide Distance Learning only for the weeks of November 30, 2020 and January 4, 2021.  More details regarding re-entry to our schools following these distance learning weeks will be forthcoming.

Lastly, the KSD Student and Family Handbook for Tier 3 (EnglishSpanish) was released earlier this week. This handbook was developed in collaboration with Marin School Nurses Organization (MSNO), Marin County Office of Education (MCOE) and Marin Health and Human Services (HHS) based on protocols from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and California Department of Education (CDE).  Please review this handbook to help keep our community safe.

Take good care,

Superintendent Signature
