Dear KSD Community,
The month of September is the start of our fall season. The weather continues to shift and our community is getting into the rhythm of a new school year. For those celebrating Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, I wish you a spectacular year of renewal and community in the days ahead.
This school year the KSD was proud to expand administrative leadership at both Bacich and Kent. Wendy Holmes, previously at Bacich and Kent, is now fully dedicated to Kent as the vice principal. Our community welcomed Kristine Duran as Bacich’s new vice principal this year. We look forward to hearing from Kristine and Wendy throughout the year. This week, Kristine kicks off the spotlight with an administrative update for Bacich.

Student Vaccination Verification
In alignment with Public Health guideline #30, the KSD is requesting vaccination verification of all students who have received the COVID-19 vaccine. Parents/Guardians may submit verification digitally HERE. The KSD staff will be proactively confirming vaccination to publicly post KSD’s student COVID vaccine rate no later than Oct. 1, 2021, please note that no personal identifiable information will be shared.

Marin Public Health New School Status Dashboard
An updated schools dashboard was unveiled on September 3, and differentiates between schools that have fully reopened to in-person instruction, schools that are closed for operation reasons (power outage, etc.), and schools which are closed due to an outbreak.
